Next Books & Bevvies Night:
APRIL 2013
Date: Saturday, April 20th, 2013
Time: 7-10pm
Place: Trinity Irish Pub, Whitby
Please Note:
**A pub was chosen for the casual atmosphere. The end time was set for 10pm, but feel free to leave earlier, or linger past the official end time—especially if the conversation it too titillating to pry yourself away from.
**Though the event is free, consider making a purchase to support our venue, Trinity Irish Pub.
**Books and Bevvies is an informal get together of writers who enjoy a pint of beer or a glass of wine and discuss writing and the controversial issues affecting the publishing business. Since the purpose of the event encourages frank discussion in a licensed establishment we request that anyone attending be of legal drinking age.
What is Books & Bevvies Night?
At “Books & Bevvies Night“, writers come together to for an informal evening of book discussion and recommendations. It is a place to share and discuss books—whether that be our monthly speakers’ books, books on the craft of writing, or a particular book that has left an impression. Members are encouraged to gush over the ones that are too good not to share, to give critical feedback on a writing-craft books, and to discuss their thoughts on WCDR/WCYR/WCSC speakers’ work.
Consider bringing a copy of the book, let us read the back cover or jacket flap, read an excerpt. Tell us why you love a specific author and why we might like to give their work a read.
Looking for a justification for all the money you've been spending on books, sometimes amassing stacks of them that you don't even have time to get through? Come to Books & Bevvies Night!
All are welcome, and no one is required to come with a book to discuss at every event. So, consider joining us for an evening of food, bevvies (of course) and lively discussions.
